GENERAL

What is Celebrity Fantasy League?

Celebrity Fantasy League is a website where you can test your knowledge of entertainment news by competing against other celebrity connoisseurs like yourself. Find out more.

How do I sign up?

Glad you asked. You can sign up here.

How do I play?

Read the Rules of the Game to find out more.

What is a Private Agency?

A Private Agency is a private group designed to encourage competition among friends, office workers, or any group. A Private Agency is a group of up to ten individuals, known as Agents, organized by a single person, the Head Diva. Membership in an Agency is by invitation only: the Head Diva establishes and names the Agency, then invites her friends, family and co-workers to join.

What is a Public Agency?

A Public Agency is a group designed to encourage competition among individuals from around the country or world. A Private Agency is a group of up to ten individuals, known as Agents. Membership in a Public Agency is randomly selected depending upon when an individual joins Girls in the Know. If an individual would like to join a Public Agency, she will be randomly placed in a Public Agency after registration.

What is an Agent?

An Agent is you! The game is played as if you are an Agent at a talent agency managing your Talent Portfolio.

What is a Talent Portfolio?

Each Agent is responsible for managing a Talent Portfolio during the 10-week session. A Talent Portfolio consists of 18 celebrities: 3 Female Movie Stars, 3 Male Movie Stars, 3 Female TV Stars, 3 Male TV Stars, 3 Female Singers and 3 Male Singers. You decide which talent to manage during the draft process. View the Talent Roster.

How do I choose my Talent Portfolio?

Talent can be chosen by an automated draft using Girls in the Know software or through a draft party.

How does an automated draft work?

View the Draft Instructions to find out more.

How does an Agent modify the Talent Roster rankings before the automated draft?

Girls in the Know provides a default ranking for each celebrity based upon such celebritys average points per week. These default rankings will be used by our software to fill an Agent's Talent Portfolio during an automated draft. Each Agent has the ability to modify these default rankings before an automated draft by clicking on "Modify Talent Roster" on her Preferences page. If an Agent thinks that Mariah Carey is the number 1 celebrity despite our rankings, the Agent can override our default rankings to place Mariah Carey as their number 1 celebrity. When the automated draft occurs, the software will look to the modified Talent Roster when filling your Talent Portfolio.

How does a draft party work?

Learn More. We'll even share some creative ideas for hosting a draft party.

Should our Agency do an automated draft or a draft party?

For a Public Agency, an automated draft will be held. For a Private Agency, if all of the Agents can get together, a draft party would be more fun. A great excuse to have a Girls Night In! If one or more people can't make it live, they can always call in to the party to choose their talent or give a friend their talent preferences. If your Agents are scattered throughout the country (or world), an automated draft makes more sense.

When does the automated draft occur?

For a Public Agency, an automated draft will occur 48 hours after the earlier to occur of (i) the 10th person joins the Public Agency and (ii) 2 weeks after the first person joined the Public Agency. Please note that each Public Agency will have at least 4 Agents. If it takes longer than 2 weeks to fill the Public Agency with 4 Agents, the automated draft will occur 48 hours after the 4th Agent joins the Public Agency. The date set for the automated draft will appear under Agency News on the Standings page so keep your eyes posted. An Agent will need to make any changes to the default rankings before the automated draft occurs. For a Private Agency, the Head Diva must set the date for the automated draft by clicking on "Set Draft Date" on her Preferences Page. The date chosen by the Head Diva for the automated draft will appear under Agency News on the Standings Page so be on the lookout. An Agent will need to make any changes to the default rankings before then.

How does the Head Diva set the automated draft date?

The Head Diva must set the date for the automated draft by clicking on "Set Draft Date" on her Preferences Page. The Head Diva can change the date set for the automated anytime prior to 10:00 a.m. Central Time on the original date chosen for the automated draft.

When does the draft party need to be held?

Since it may take awhile to get all of the girls together, there is no set timeframe for a draft party. Hold the draft party whenever it is convenient for the group. The sooner you hold it, though, the sooner that you can get started playing.

I am the Head Diva in a Private Agency, how do I assign Talent to Agents after the Draft Party?

The Head Diva should go to her Preferences page and click on "Assign Talent to Agents". This will take the Head Diva to the Standings page. The Head Diva should click on the first team. Then the Head Diva should click the "Add" button and search for the Talent to be added to that team. After locating the celebrity to be added, click add. Continue this process until the team is complete and then return to the Standings page to continue the process for another team.

When does the 10-week session begin?

The 10-week session will begin on the first Wednesday after the automated draft occurs. For a Private Agency that did a draft party, the 10-week session will begin on the first Wednesday after the Head Diva input the results of the draft party. In the event that these events occurred between Monday after 6:00 a.m. Central Time and Wednesday at 6:00 a.m. Central Time, the 10-week session will begin on the second Wednesday.

How do I score points?

Points will be earned each week from Wednesday at 6 a.m. Central Time through Monday at midnight Central Time on your active talent. Learn how points will be awarded. In addition, we may advertise special one-time point opportunities throughout your 10-week session depending upon what is happening in the celebrity world. Look out on your Standings page under GITK News for special one-time categories.

What is the difference between active talent and inactive talent?

Each week, an Agent must decide which talent in their Talent Portfolio is eligible to receive points that week. Out of the 18 celebrities in each Talent Portfolio, an Agent can only promote 12 celebrities each week (2 from each category). An Agent's job is to decide which talent from her Talent Portfolio she believes will earn the most points that week. The 12 celebrities chosen by the agent are called active talent. The 6 celebrities in the Talent Portfolio that are not chosen that week are called inactive talent.

How do I chose which talent is active or inactive?

An Agent can choose which talent to activate or deactivate each week (on Tuesdays) by following these steps: 1) Click on the number at the top of the page for the current week. For example, if your League is in the 2nd week of play, click on the "2" at the top of the Standings page. 2) Next click on the link for your Agency's name. This will take you to your Agency's Talent Portfolio where you will see all the celebrities that you manage. The Active Talent will be listed at the top of the page and the Inactive Talent is on the bottom half of the page. 3) To make a celebrity Active, put a check mark in the box next to the celeb's picture by clicking in the box, and click the "Make Active" link at the bottom of the page. Remember that you can only have 2 Active celebrities in each category, so if you already have the allotted number of celeb's Active in a certain category, then you will first have to make one of them Inactive. 4) To make a celeb Inactive, put a check mark in the box next to the celeb's picture by clicking in the box and click on the "Make Inactive" link at the bottom of the page.

When do I choose which talent in my Talent Portfolio is active talent?

Since points are earned beginning on Wednesday at 6:00 a.m. Central Time, an Agent can determine their active talent for the first week anytime before then. After the first week, active talent can be chosen Tuesday at 12:01 a.m. through Wednesday at 5:59 a.m.

What if I forget to activate my talent?

Dont worry, you will still earn points that week. If you forget to activate your talent prior to the first week, the software will automatically activate the 2 highest ranked celebrities in each category. If you forget after the first week, your active talent will default to the active talent from the prior week.

Can I add new celebrities to my Talent Portfolio?

Agents are allowed to make changes to their talent rosters by adding and dropping celebrities every Tuesday (beginning at 12:01 AM). To Add or Drop a celebrity, follow these steps: 1) Navigate to the current week's Talent Portfolio by clicking on the number for the current week at the top of the Standings page, then click on the link with Agency's name. For example, if your League is in the 2nd week of play, then click on the "2" at the top of the page. 2) Click on the "Add Talent" link at the bottom of the page. This will bring you to the Talent page. Alternatively, you can access the Talent page directly from any other page on the website by clicking on the "Talent" link on the menu bar at the top of each page. 3) On the Talent page, if you see a celebrity that you would like to add to your Talent Portfolio, you may add them by clicking on the "Add" link next to the celebrity's name. Remember that you are only allowed to have 3 celebrities from each category in your Talent Portfolio, so in order to add a new celeb to your Talent Portfolio, you must drop another celebrity from the same category. 4) To Drop a celebrity, click on the "Drop" link next to the celebrity's picture that you would like to release from your Talent Portfolio. You will only see "Drop" links next to the celebs that you currently manage.

For example, if you would like to Add Nick Lachey to your Talent Portfolio in the Male Singer category, you must Drop another Male Singer from your Talent Portfolio, say Usher before you are allowed to add Nick. Each week we will advertise any new celebrities that have been added to the Talent Roster in the GITK News section of the website. Remember that only one person in an Agency can add the new celebrity to their Talent Portfolio. So the first person to add the new celebrity will have them in their Talent Portfolio. Therefore, it pays to check out your home page often! If you have a great idea for a new celebrity that is missing from the Talent Roster, click on "Request Addition to Talent Roster" on the Preferences page to e-mail us your suggestion.

How long does the agency last?

The agency will last 10 weeks.

When does my membership expire?

Your membership will expire 2 weeks after the 10-week session ends.

How much does Celebrity Fantasy League cost?
